Here you will find various visual aids, to illustrate gender in a way that may be easier for you to understand.

The image above is an accurate representation of the gender spectrum. It varies from the traditional one-dimensional, masculine to feminine spectrum (pictured below) in that it adds a second-dimension, breaking apart the 'genderqueer' category into three parts: bigender, neutral, and agender.

The way that the image below incorporates a slowly forming dress on the figure helps us understand the way that a person's gender can affect their outward appearance.

This image demonstrates the infinite possibilities a person has when identifying their gender. It also illustrates the relationship that sex and gender have with each other.

This is a collage made by 16 male and 16 female students at CCAD. Each student was asked to represent their gender with pink and blue colored pencils.
